Apart from revised front & rear styling treatments, the full-size Chevrolets were carryovers
from their 1977 downsizing.
Caprice versions had a lattice crosshatch pattern (with fewer divider bars than before).
Taillamps & molding were also restyled.
Caprice was again available in 2 door coupe, four door sedan and four door station wagon
(two or three seat) body style.
Of the 14 standard body colors, ten were new this year.
In addition to styling differences,
Caprice added a few items of standard equipment.
They included a:

Full Wheel Covers
Wheel Opening Moldings
Clock
Interior Lighting
and Fold Down Center Armrest on Sedans
The Caprice Classic Landau Coupe, introduced during the
1977 model year, was continued this year.
The appearance package included an:
Elk-Grain Forward Vinyl Top with Bright Rear-Edge Molding
Sports Mirrors
Wire Wheel Covers with Landau Hub Identification
Accent Striping
and Belt Molding Painted to match the vinyl top
Roof Panels held a Landau Name Plate.
